Itinerary Details

There are two alternatives of the half day city sightseeing which you can opt with Bhatti's.

Option 1:
Morning 8:00 A.M. pick up from your hotel or any other location of your choice. Drive to Amber Fort through the beautiful lanes and streets of the town. Enjoy an elephant back ride in Amber Fort and while returning to the town, make a stop at the Jal Mahal or water mansion. Then visit the Royal Gaitor; the intricately carved marble cenotaphs of Maharajas and then return to your hotel or other place of your choice.

Option 2:
Morning 8:00 A.M. pick up from your hotel or any other location of your choice. Enjoy rides through the streets and lanes to reach Hawa Mahal. Then proceed to the City Palace and then also visit the World Heritage Site astronomical observatory called Jantar Mantar. Then return to the hotel thus the excursion ends.

Amber Fort
The eighteenth century Amer Fort stands tall in all it’s grandiose on the northern periphery of the town. It has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and was constructed during the rule of Raja Man Singh. There are many impressive constructions inside the fort complex which attracts the eye of the spectators. The castles like Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Niwas, Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas and Ganesh Pol Gate are very impressive. Visiting at the Amer Fort is for sure one of the most memorable moment in the journey.

City Palace
The magnetic beauty of the royal residence attracts many travelers throughout the year. The mansion has impressive courtyards like Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal, a museum, beautiful frescos, mirror works, colored stone inlays and the astonishing peacock gate are all a must see in the castle.

Jantar Mantar (Astronomical observatory)
The 18th century observatory was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II who was a scholar of astronomy. The Jantar Mantar has the largest sundial and also has the zodiac circle instrument which is not present anywhere else in the country. The instruments are built with sandstone and brass to make the reading accurate.

Royal Gaitor
One of the mysterious monuments of the town, the Royal Gaitor is the resting ground of the Maharajas who ruled the town during the bygone era. There are several cenotaphs “Chhatris” here and each one of them is dedicated to a Maharaja. The stone monument has beautifully carved cenotaphs with carved pillars and sculpted arches. It feels very peaceful to visit this place in the town.

Hawa Mahal
Also known with the name of ‘Palace of Winds’ it is an architectural marvel of the 18th century. Designed by Ustad Lal Chand, it is built with pink and red sandstones to camouflage with the color of the town. With a total of nine hundred and fifty-three windows and standing up to a height of 15 meters, the five storied castle was built for the royal ladies by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh.
