Primarily, Real name of Abhaneri was Abha Nagri that means the city of effulgence. It is nearly about 95 kms distance from the city. This vintage well is comprised of 3500 narrow steps with more than 13 stories. This well is lengthen 30 ms from the ground, which is now one of the largest and deepest stepwells in India. It was built between 800 AD and 900 AD in the period of King Chandra of the Chauhan Dynasty.

Galta Monkey Temple is also known as Galtaji. This is the famous Indian voyage place, surrounded by the Scenic Aravalli Hills. This temple is placed at 10 km away from the town. It was built by the Diwan Rao Kriparam in the 18th century.
The temple has 7 holy kunds and Galta Kund is one of the most divine among them. This kund is always filled with water, which never gets dry. Govind Dev Ji Temple is placed in the City Palace complex.which is dedicated to the Lord Krishna. It is one among the most popular seven temples of Krishna of Vrindavan i.e. Shri Bankey Bihari Ji, Shri Govind Dev Ji, Sri Radhavallabh Ji and more. Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II brought the Krishna statue here from the Vrindavan. It was built by the famous Mughal emperor Akbar.
