With the cab service in Jaipur,  the trip is possible in 9 to 10 hours. You will be picked from your hotel in morning around 8 am. Driving through, you will be taken to Amer fort which is a UNESCO world heritage site. The yellow and pink sandstone monument can be reached by climbing through a number of stairs leading to Jaleb Chowk. After this you will be taken to Abhaneri, the next destination of this trip.

Itinerary Details

Amber Fort
The most widely known attraction is Amer Fort which is also one of the Hill Fort which is also a World Heritage Site as declared by UNESCO. Made from pink and yellow colored sandstone, the citadel dominates the periphery of the city from North. The palace dazzles in bright sunlight and attracts many tourists. The construction of fortress was commenced by Raja Man Singh I but it was completed by Sawai Jai Singh during the 18th century. Other than being a perfect combination of Rajput and Gujarati architectural designs, it is a home to several amazing gardens, courtyards, palaces and temples.

Abhaneri
Abhaneri is a village which is around 96 kms from Jaipur. The drive will take two to two and a half hours to reach the village from Jaipur. It attracts many tourists due to the amazing architectural monuments which are specialty of villages of Rajasthan.

The ‘step wells’
These wells were built to harvest rain water to replenish the water requirements of the villagers and also provided them with shade and cool environment during summers. The Step well is known with the name of ‘Chand Baori’. After visiting and appreciating the art and the beauty of Chand Baori Step well, you will be transferred back to the city and dropped at the hotel you are staying.

Chand Baori Step well
The step well was built in 800 AD, by a ruler of Chauhan Dynasty named King Chanda after whom the step well was named. The step is 30 meter deep and is a 13 storied well with 3,500 steps. The beautifully laid steps look wondrous and show how talented the craftsmen and architects were who built this step well.
